Utility Information

Tenants are responsible for the payment of Utilities regardless if they can transfer the utility into their own name. The only exception would be found in your Lease.

Some cities require that utility services such as water, sewer, and trash remain in the Owner’s or Landlord’s name. If this is the case, Maxfield will bill you for these services on your tenant ledger.

If a city does not require the utilities to remain in the Owner’s or Landlord’s name, then please contact the city to set up utility services in your name. You can find the phone number next to the city name below.

POWER

With the exception of a few cities such as Provo and Lehi, Tenants will need to set up power in their name prior to occupancy through Rocky Mountain Power.

GAS

Tenants will need to set up gas services at least 2 business days prior to occupancy to ensure there is heat and hot water available. Tenants should contact Dominion Energy.

Tenants should email billing@MaxfieldRents.com or text 620.374.9729 their account numbers for both gas and electricity prior to occupancy. If any utility bills are received by the Landlord for the property after the move-in date, Maxfield will charge those utilities back to the Tenant through their Tenant Portal. In addition to the utility amount, Maxfield will also charge a fee of $25 per each bill received.
