Discover Lehi
Lehi was considered for a long time to be a farming and rural suburb until the early 2000s' when the city started to experience exponential growth with the development of the master-planned Traverse Mountain community located at the point of the mountain. The explosion of growth evaporated in 2008 when the Great Recession began. Home prices fell more than 30% in less than 3 years and construction slowed to a minimal pace.
In 2010, Adobe announced plans to build a $100 Million campus just south of Traverse Mountain, which was the first step in Lehi, Draper, Alpine and Highland becoming the center of what is commonly referred to as Silicone Slopes. Adobe, IM Flash and Vivint Solar, are among the largest employers. However, there are more than 500 other technology and internet companies nestled at the northernmost part of Utah County and the southernmost part of Salt Lake City. Primary Children's Hospital announced a new state of the art medical facility in the Lehi area to be opened in 2023.
